Ministry to Grade-Schoolers
Hatcher's whole-family approach to ministry includes Grade-Schoolers. Information about the ministry programs we offer regularly to children who are in Grades 1 to 5.
Church is a Kids' Place!
At Hatcher, we believe church is a place where grade-school children have good times and good memories -- a place where they want to come, so that Bible learning and spiritual growth can go on and on!
In addition ot the regular, weekly activities shown below, Hatcher has special activities from time to time, such as Christmas and Easter parties, Vacation Bible School, camp activities, summer playground, and sleep-overs by the GA's and RA's.
In every way possible, we want to partner with families to provide a meaningful church experience for children -- one that has eternal Kingdom impact.

Hatcher: A Place for Children on Sunday Morning
Live Outloud! Community Worship
Our Live Outloud! service, at 9:00 is designed for families to worship together, including their Grade-Schoolers. (For information about Preschoolers at this hour, look at BibleSteps.) As the worship service is developed each week, the planners keep in mind that Grade-Schoolers are in the worshiping congregation. Some of the worship activities include Grade-Schoolers as active participants.
BibleAdventures: Where Hatcher Kids Explore the Bible
10:00 is the time for BibleAdventures, where Grade-Schoolers engage in age-appropriate learning activities, including games, crafts, and Bible stories. As they gain basic knowledge about the Bible and what it means, our hope is that they'll learn to be like Jesus -- as they build a relationship with him each day. During BibleAdventures (until 10:50), adults are welcome to attend an Adult Bible Fellowship.
Traditional Worship Service
Some families prefer a worship experience that's set in a more traditional style. This choice is also available at Hatcher, at 11 o'clock in our beautiful Sanctuary.
Music and Missions: Fun and Learning
on Wednesday Evenings
Music Makers and Young Musicians
At 6:15 on Wednesday evenings, it's time for Children's Choir! First and second-graders go to Music Makers, while Grades 3 to 5 are Young Musicians. They learn basic music skills, great songs, and the meaning of genuine worship.
Royal Ambassadors and Girls in Action
At 7:00, boys head for Royal Ambassadors (RA's) and the girls to Girls in Action (GA's). They learn how God's love is being spread around the world -- and do some ministry projects of their own. Activities conclude by 7:45.
