Thank you for sprucing Better Together Garden!
On Saturday April 14 about 20-25 Hatcher Members and community friends reworked the gravel paths and flower beds in Better Together Garden. Despite the rain and cool weather, the work was rewarding. A huge thanks is in order to Bill and Tammy Elrod and for all those who helped. Our hope is that the message of Jesus is truly a sweet savor for Lakeside and Metro Richmond.

This effort was a followup to the 2006 community wide clean up of one part of Bryan Park called Better Together. One year ago in March, our church joined with the Friends of Bryan Park and the Bryan Park Civic Association, along with community residents to remove trash, fallen trees, brush... and create a pocket park within the larger park. We marked the spot with a stone reading "Better Together." Indeed, the community is a more lovely place when we work together. We believe such projects illustrate what it means for God's Kingdom to be near.
