Hello. In recent decades, churches have too often focused on survival rather than engagement and mission. I hope our church can move beyond what seems good for "us" and begin to ask "How can we love our neighbors as we love ourselves?" That's the goal. That's following Jesus in practical ways. Currently we are doing some things that move us in that direction... partnering with the McShin Foundation to host nightly 12 Step meetings for narcotics addicts, partnering the African Community Christian Church to host the Barnabas Project (an after school program for immigrant - at risk children, etc. We can do so much more. Why? Because we believe that following Jesus demands it. Pastor Mike
