Who We Are

by admin last modified 2007-09-30 17:56

Do not deprive the stranger or the orphan of justice, or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge (Deut. 24:17)

Joe KendrickImagine a world free from oppression, free from injustice, free from racism, free from inequality. Imagine a world focused on spreading the message and lifestyle of Christ. While that world may not be in existence, we can work towards bringing forth that new kingdom.

The Hatcher Youth Ministry's goal and desire is to work to a better tomorrow through awareness and acknowledging the often overlooked message of Christ. Our topics of discussion cover all areas of faith: Social justice, social issues, moral/political issues, and a focus on contemplative prayer and expressing our faith in creative ways through the use of art. We are very supportive of the arts and encourage expression without labeling. Plus we have a good time in a relaxed atmosphere where you can just be yourself.

Our doors are open to all youth and parents of any race and creed. No matter who are, what you believe, or what you look like, you will be welcomed.

Take this moment to visit our page and explore through all our links. Our Bible studies are posted in the section entitled The Shindig Bible Studies, and at this site here. Also in the youth links folder you will find links to various sites that are a great place for resources and some great music from artist who express the ideals of Christ in their lyrics and music.

I personally extend an invitation to all to join us on Wednesdays and Sundays but if you are unable to, hopefully this will be a place for us to meet and continue our journey.

Suited up,

Joe Kendrick
Minister of Youth
